Located in Asturias, this regenerative retreat reimagines hospitality as a catalyst for environmental restoration and human wellbeing. Conceived as a refuge immersed in nature, the project seeks to create a place where guests reconnect with the landscape while experiencing calm, joy and a sense of belonging.

Journey through the different zones and gardens of the masterplan.

The masterplan is structured through a sequence of gardens that organize the distribution of buildings and choreograph the guest journey across the site. Each garden creates a distinct atmosphere, spaces for gathering, contemplation, wellness and immersion, allowing the landscape to become the primary driver of experience. Architecture is lightly embedded within this framework, forming a network of small-scale buildings connected by paths, terraces and outdoor rooms.

A holistic biophilic design approach informs the project at every scale, from landscape strategies to interior environments. Ecological restoration, native planting and biodiversity shape the external spaces, while interiors integrate natural light, materials, vegetation and multisensory elements to support rest, comfort and emotional wellbeing. The result is a continuous spatial experience that reinforces the relationship between people and the living environment.

The project is guided by the principles of the International Living Future Institute’s Living Building Challenge, using its imperatives as a framework for decision-making. This includes regenerative approaches to water and energy, responsible material sourcing, carbon-conscious construction and a strong integration with the local ecological and cultural context.

Wellness spaces, areas for yoga and meditation, regenerative gastronomy supported by an on-site farm, and nature-based activities are integrated into a cohesive experience rooted in the rhythms of the landscape. Together, these elements define a new model of hospitality based on simplicity, immersion and what can be understood as barefoot luxury.

This concept reflects our approach to designing regenerative, nature-centred hospitality environments, where landscape, architecture and interiors are conceived as one interconnected system, creating places that give back more than they take.
